Does not require refrigiration. Directions
Leave for 24 hours, then feed daily with 1tea spoon of ground ginger and 1 tea spoon of sugar.
After 7 days strain the 'plant' through a muslin of fine cloth.
Dissolve 1 1/2 lb sugar in 2 pints of hot water.
Add 5 pints of cold water and the juice of 2 lemons.
Mix this with the liquid from the plant.
Put into corked bottles and leave for a week.
To keep the plant going add 3/4 pint of water to the remaining solid and repeat the process.
The plant should be halved every 2 weeks. If you use screw top bottles have the lids loose. Allergens
